Privacy Policy
This explains what information the Cut-List Calculator at cutlistcalculator.com (the "Site") handles. The short version: there are no accounts, and your cut lists stay in your browser.
What stays on your device
The materials and cuts you enter are processed in your browser. We don't save them on our servers. When you start a purchase, your current cut list is saved temporarily in your browser's local storage so it can be restored after payment. Once a purchase is confirmed, we keep your checkout session ID and that cut list in local storage so the PDF stays unlocked if you refresh or return on the same browser.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Stripe. You enter your email, card details, and billing ZIP or postal code directly into Stripe's payment form; we never see or store your card number. Stripe's use of your information is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy. Stripe may also use cookies and similar technology on the payment form to prevent fraud and improve its service.
From Stripe we keep only what's needed to confirm and record the sale: the checkout session ID, the amount, and the currency.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used, such as which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects your IP address and similar technical data. We don't send it the contents of your cut lists or your payment details. Learn more in how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with a tool such as Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Hosting and logs
The Site is hosted on Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel and our server may log technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information, and the Site doesn't run advertising trackers. Our only third-party analytics is Google Analytics, described above.
Your choices
You can clear the Site's local storage in your browser at any time. To ask about or request deletion of any purchase record we hold, email us at the address below.
Children
The Site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above shows the latest version.
